Vitamins are essential to one’s health in order to stay healthy, to keep ourselves out from certain diseases and to boost our immune system. I’ve already tried different kinds of vitamins that offers all the benefits and more, but I’m still skeptical for I think I’m not getting the things that I’m looking for whenever I’m taking my usual dose of vitamin C.
And that is why I made a mega switch to Mega C.
Mega-C is a non-acidic Vitamin C and Sodium Ascorbate that is set in veggie capsule that boosts our well being. It has Vitamin C that is known to provide protection from immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health problems, eye disease, and even skin wrinkling; and Sodium Ascorbate, a form of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and an anti-cancer agent that is less acidic and helps in preventing heart attacks.
Why make a switch to Mega C? Here are some of the reasons:
Mega C is non-acidic and has a pH range of 7.5 to 7.8 and it can be taken as much as preferred without the negative effects of other highly acidic Vitamin C tablets.
It helps fight stress by boosting your immune system to help prevent you from flu, cough, bronchitis, respiratory problems and other viral and bacterial infections.
It protects your cardiovascular system, particularly your heart from bad cholesterol.
It protects the body from carcinogens found in processed meats by blocking the reaction between nitrates and proteins.
Its direct effect on collagen has shown that it has the capacity to mend skin and bone injuries, and improve the quality of life of those who are suffering from disorders like multiple sclerosis and spondylitis.
It helps reduce the insulin requirement of those suffering from Type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis and spondylitis.
Its antihistamine function helps fight all forms of allergies, multiple sclerosis and spondylitis.
It enhances sexual performance by making the endurance glands perform at its peak level.
Its antioxidant properties prevent the weakening of the sperm cells.
It helps whiten your skin.
It prevents constipation and reduces the size of hemorrhoids.
It uses vegetable capsule, which are all natural and retain all the advantages of standard two-piece capsules.
Mega-C can be bought for only 5.00 per capsule and is available at all Metrcury Drug branches nationwide.

An officemate of mine asked me to blog about this new restaurant situated in Mandaluyong. I eventually agreed, and asked my fellow bloggers to join me in this restaurant review.
I must say, I had high hopes for Plana’s Pantry. It was one of the new restaurants that is located just infront of the California Garden Square in Mandaluyong. I was informed that it was opened last September 1, and they offered delectable dishes, beautiful ambience and good vibes for their customers.
As I stepped inside the restaurant, I was floored by the summer-themed interiors that are absolutely quaint and homey, as the white interiors complemented the mix of colors in their furniture and the witty signs posted on their walls.
Even their restroom has its cutesy stuff inside hihi! 😛
All interiors are custom-made – the choice of color palettes, the comfy chairs to the mirrors, and even the simple displays are well placed. It feels so comfortable dining in, makes me wanna stay more and just dine in and have a fun chat with my fellow girlfriends (or with leboyf of course! :P)
They even had their homegrown herbs planted inside! Hello there oregano and basil!
I forgot to ask for place mats as my souvenir! Love the quotes hihi! <3
Another thing that I love is the service. Ms Rachel Plana (the owner) has been hands on in attending to their customers’ needs. The staff is also friendly and accommodating as well.
So we placed our orders, and we didn’t expect that we’ll be loving their dishes as well.
For starters, we had Battered Fish and Shrimp with Fries – perfectly fried battered cream dory and shrimp that is incredibly light and has less breading; the fries is also perfect for these two, as they are less oily and tastes just right.
The Mushroom Salpicao on the hand is something that I wanna munch on while at work or watching TV. I love mushrooms, and these are cooked just right.
We were served drinks as well. I had Purely Squeezed Dalandan juice served in a mason jar, and it was all refreshing. Fellow blogger Dems ordered Calamansi with Honey (not pictured) and she finds it refreshing too.
Blogger Alice opted to have this Supersized Lemonade, just look at that tall glass!
And just before i’m finished with my dinner, ordered their Calamansi with Malunggay, in which I find it therapeutic in a way. The tanginess of the calamansi and the bitterness of the malunggay makes it an interesting combination. The health benefits of both products is an added plus, and I recommend this to all, especially to the health-conscious ones. 🙂
They had a lot to offer for their main entrees. Note that each dish is served with pesto rice and veggies on the side, so here’s what we had for early dinner:
Zheyme’s Angus Rib-Eye Steak is indeed flavorful, tender and succulent. Serving is huge and I think that the steak is good for sharing, and this is best eaten while it’s still hot.
Alice’s Meltique Steak is moist and more flavorful than the first one to be honest, thanks to the larding technique that is used to have this marbling effect, making it more delicious and tender in every bite.
I had Gindara Steak for myself, and glad that the black cod fish being used is cooked just right. It has a buttery and zestful flavor that is so light and fresh, something that i’m really look forward in my fish steak.
Dems ordered Lamb Masala, and I had to say, it was surprisingly good! This dish is somewhat Indian-inspired (can’t figure out the flavor but it reminds me of one of the Indian dishes that I tried before), for the meat is so tender and juicy, and pleasing to the eyes (and on our tummies. )
Their bestseller, the Hickory BBQ Ribs is a sure hit! Ms Cha’s dinner is a sure hit for all of us, the meat is so moist and incredibly delicious, now this is something that I would love to have on my next visit.
I find Sir Bernie’s Chicken Teriyaki a bit sweet and tender, kinda reminds me of the ribs but more buttery.
Ms Rachel recommends some of the dishes for us, and here’s what we had:
Their Lengua cooked in creamy mushroom sauce is a sheer perfection, the ox tongue just melts in mouth and it has a sheer, delightful flavor.
The Plana’s Sisig is a sure hit! Reminds me a lot of the much-loved Bagnet Sisig that I had at the Metro Vigan Cafe. The finely chopped crispy pork bits with their house Laing on the side not only looks appetitizing, it tastes really good as well. Now I know where I can have my favorite sisig when needed.
While we’re still full on our early dinner, we opted to have their handcrafted ice cream for dessert. The strawberry ice cream has real strawberry bits included, their avocado-flavored ice cream is one refreshing treat, and their chocolate ice cream is a surprising treat that you don’t wanna miss. Their ice cream is sooo good – rich, creamy and beautiful, good to the last bite. Ms. Rachel told us that their ice cream is made by her husband and her daughter.
I must say, their ice cream is made with love. <3
and lastly, we had mangosteen tea and Twining’s mint tea, served in an elegant China teapot and teacups.
Care for some cup of tea? 🙂
I’m thankful that I had a wonderful time at Plana’s Pantry. The ambience and the good food makes this place a great hangout for all. Definitely a must-try place for everybody!
With the owners and fellow bloggers 🙂

Aquabest, the country’s leading water refilling franchise is proud to support the upcoming 2014 Filipino Franchise Show.
“We are proud to support Filipino entrepreneurs who are exhibiting their world class concepts through AFFI’s annual franchise show. This year there will be hundreds of participants each with its own success story that will inspire everyone to go out and start their own business.” says Carson Tan CEO of GQWEST Inc which owns the Aquabest brand.
The company is a long time member of AFFI with around 700 stores and is considered among the leading players in the water franchising industry. This year, the company will continue to highlight its 3 in 1 Combostore concept as well as introduce its new Nanogen technology.
The Combostore franchise combines the Aquabest, Laundrybest, and Oxyplus brands. This allows franchisees of the Combostore to benefit from the expanded target market and synergies resulting from the fusion of the three brands. The concepts offer a faster return period and better margins.
The company is also proud to announce that it would be the first refilling station franchise to utilize nanotechnology in its filtration process. “Nanogen” which is a Korean developed water filtration system that ensures a high level of water purity while at the same time being the first in the country to offer alkaline pure water.
The 2014 Filipino Franchise Show is presented by the Association of Filipino Franchisers Incorporated (AFFI) the country’s premier franchise group comprised of local franchise concepts. The show runs from October 3 to 5 at the World Trade Center.
Shopping nowadays is more convenient, thanks to the rise of online shopping sites that offers stress-free shopping, hassle-free transactions and fast delivery of items. It’s also less stressful, for we don’t need to go to the store to check on the items for our needs. The only thing that is fun in shopping is to check on the prices and to haggle to get the things that we need in a much lower price.
But don’t get me wrong, I also enjoy online shopping as much as I do, especially now that it’s only few months away from the Christmas season. After checking on different online shopping sites, Lamido catches my attention for sure.
As a newly established site that is launched last january 2014, Lamido has a lot to offer as the newest shopping place in the Metro. Not only did the buyer can shop for the items being offered on their website, customers can also sell their items too, now that’s convenient!
Here are some things that I really like when shopping at Lamido:
Secure and hassle-free transactions – one thing that I’m looking for when shopping online is the payment terms. It’s important for me to have safe transactions and good thing that Lamido has this feature called “Lamido Safepay”, wherein customers can have an option to choose where to ship the items that they ordered and how they can pay for their orders via bank transfer or cash on delivery.
Reliable customer service – it’s important for me when shopping on shopping sites is the customer service. In Lamido, they had the “Buyer Protection Scheme” where their customer service team can be helpful in their customers’ complaints in their payments and products that they ordered on their website.
Easy navigation on their website – one thing that I like when shopping online is the website design itself – it was clean looking, easy to navigate, loads easily and less complicated. With these things, I’ve no problems shopping at their website.
Convenient mobile shopping – with the launch of their Google app last July 17, 2014, Android phone users can also have worry-free shopping to the people on the go. Download the mobile app here!
It’s best for small-scale businesses too – it’s a good thing that Lamido allows users to have their products listed on Lamido and to sell their products online. There is no listing fee, and sellers can organize the payment and shipping terms of their merchandises that they are selling through Lamido.
Higher hopes with Lamido
with less hassles and convenient shopping, Lamido can make shopping more easy. They even allow businesses to grow, in which I think it’s a major plus to me. This unique concept is one of the ventures made by their owner, Rocket Internet. Its design and concept is made to ensure the safety and security of their online shoppers, sellers and merchants.
I’m looking forward for my next shopping experience at Lamido! 🙂
Share a gift with Grandparents with Lamido!
I don’t have my Lolo and Lola anymore, but that doesn’t mean that I’ll be neglecting this day. But I still have some fond memories, especially with my Lolo Bening.
Every Grandparents’ day, I see to it that I’ll be creating something for him. A postcard, a drawing of him, and doing something to make him feel better whenever he’s sick. If he’s still alive today, I would’ve got something for him, like this furniture fix from Lamido.
Whenever that catches your fancy that can be useful and helpful for your beloved lolo or lola, be sure to shop at Lamido for the things that they need. Amazing discounts are available on selected products, so shop now at Lamido and avail on their Grandparents’ day promo!
I’ve heard everything about Chef Bruce Lim after I watched his segment from Kris Tv. I was hooked as he served his dishes on national TV, and I don’t even mind being crazy late at work at that time (I haven’t had breakfast at that time lol!)
well anyway, more information about Chef Bruce Lim can be seen here. He is also the one behind Chef’s Table and Mise en Plus Foods inc. (both closed). And today, he now the man behind Rustique Kitchen, a new restaurant owned by Tonyboy Cojuanco and Gretchen Baretto located in Arnaiz st., Makati.
Interiors and design
As I stepped inside Rustique Kitchen, the old world feel surprised me. They had the old french interiors that is so posh, the classic feel never fails to keep me in awe. Also found out that the place used to be one of Tonyboy Cojuanco’s restaurants named La Regalade French Bistro, and they only did some minor adjustments in the interiors to make it more regal. Glad to dressed up in this event or else… lol!
What’s on the menu?
Here are some of the dishes served to us:
Complimentary bread – they had a lot to offer, and they are all served with herbed butter and coffee maple butter
I must say, Chef Bruce has a lot to offer for everyone, starting from their cocktails:
Minty Guava – Pink guava, pineapple, ginger syrup and mint leaves.
The Main treats
Crispy Pata Fritters – a delectable starter dish, I didn’t notice at first that this is made of shredded crispy pata at all! It was flavorful yet so filling.
Bruschetta with Foie Gras and Mango jam – it was my first time to try foie gras (or duck liver), and it’s a surprise that it felt so buttery. I’m no fan of liver at all but this has changed my mind. The mango jam adds a bit of tanginess to the bruschetta and foie gras, and the mix of flavors is so playful, and I appreciate it a lot.
Caesar Salad – the mix of lettuce, roasted cherry tomatoes, quezo de bola shavings drizzled with their house dressing is a refreshing twist to the conventional Caesar salad that I always had. Everything is so fresh and the presentation is pleasing to the eyes.
Lapu lapu Ceviche in Citrus Vinaigrette with Danggit – reminds me somewhat of kinilaw in a way, but this is one is more fresh, beautifully executed and pleasing to the eyes. The contrasting features of the Lapu Lapu and the Danggit makes both of them more flavorful and decadent.
Lengua Pastel – I thought at first that it was a soup dish lol! It was one of the newest dishes from their menu. It looks so special, I scooped for a bit of serving and I liked it.
Sizzling Kare Kare – the meat is oh-so soft and tender, the peanut sauce makes me want for more! This one is served in a cast-iron skillet to retain the heat and to enjoy the sumptuous aroma of this amazing dish.
Tripe Salad – Their alternative to the classic bagoong that is usually paired with Kare Kare. This is made of beef tripe, bagoong and spring onions that is amazingly good to the bite. But I had to admit, this is best paired to their Sizzling Kare Kare.
Tortang Talong – the usual take of tortang talong with sauteed pork and salted eggs on top is a sure hit for me, makes me wanna have this one with rice.
Fish Market – I love anything made of fish, and this one is no exception. Baked Lapu Lapu in lemongrass marinara with potatoes and danggit on the side is so fresh, flavorful and light. Good for those who are looking for a healthier alternative, but I had a better suggestion to that.
Grilled Rib-Eye Steak – made from USDA beef, the steak is indeed grilled to perfection. It was wonderful to have this succulent steak that is served with fried onions, cheese, cream sauce and potato pave. This is so seriously good in every bite.
Beef Steak Pasta – the unusual take of pasta topped with slices of beef steak, cheese and fried onion rings. I like the ways this is executed, the flavors is just right for me.
Country Pumpkin Pasta – tender pieces of grilled chicken placed on top of the pasta, with pumpkin blossoms and chesse sure looks appetizing. I’ve no idea that they used pumpkin cream sauce is used in their pasta, until I had a bite on this dish. I was surprised on the flavors on this one.
Salmon Slab – this is one of the special dishes being offered here at the Rustique Kitchen. It was a huge slab of slow-baked salmon wrapped in banana leaves, served with marbled potatoes. I adore this dish overall, no lemme correct that, I LOVE this amazing dish overall! It was amazingly tender and moist, and yes I am in love.
apart from their amazingly crafted dishes, they also had their own line of desserts that is so deliciously good in every bite. Here’s what they had to offer:
Warm Chocolate Tart – chocolate tart with delectable chocolate cream inside, with slices of mangoes and chocolates on the side to give that tart a refreshing twist.
Kesong Puti Cheesecake – cheesecake done just right, and the slices of strawberries and mangoes that goes on top of the cheesecake tastes so right.
Signature Buko Pie – I like the fact that their version of buko pie is served beautifully in a wine glass. This one is beautifully done, and appetizing as well.
Every dish is pleasing to the eyes, and everything is indeed delicious. The interiors are indeed inviting, perfect for dinner dates and for intimate celebrations with family and friends.
Visit Chef Bruce’s Rustique Kitchen soon, you’ll gonna love it! 🙂

I’ve been tired, stressed out and sick this past few weeks and I’m in dire need to recharge and unwind. The recent trip to the hospital has been one of the worst i’ve had, and I deserve to be pampered and to feel better.
It was weeks ago when I signed up for the review, and I see to it that it’ll be set on a holiday. I almost didn’t make it to the Nail Cocktales Hand and Foot Spa in Blue Baywalk because of the gruesome migraine, but i’m glad that Dolfenal has taken effect to get rid of the throbbing headache in no time.
Lovin’ the interiors, ambience and their services
I fell in love with the clean, simple and posh design of the Nail Cocktales spa. Crisp, clean blue and white interiors never fails to give the spa that fresh, spring-like feel. It was quiet, cool and relaxing.
There are lots of nail colors to choose from, and they also offered nail polishes from known brands such as Orly, Chanel and many more.
Nail arts are also available and you can ask your nail technician if you want one for yourself.
There are so many services to choose from, and I choose “Yummilicious”. I simply wanted to pamper my hands and my sorely tired feet, that’s why I opt to have a mannicure, pedicure and foot spa. My nail technician chose the Cosmopolitan scent, and it smells so delicious! Take note that the foot scrubs, foot soaks and foot lotions being used are made from organic ingredients.
They also had nail spa packages for girls who wants to be treated like a princess, and for men who wants to have that clean, polished and gentlemanly look on their hands and feet.
What makes this spa a standout from the rest?
Nail Cocktales has this cheerful vibe that I really like. Not only did the nail technicians do their craft in pampering my sorely tired hands and feet, they also took notice on my nails, giving me advices to take care of them. I also noticed that they are also courteous and attentive to our needs, now that’s another major plus for me.
and did I mention that they also had WIFI access? oh yes they did! 🙂
Their nail technicians were very careful in treating my nails and in my foot spa which I really liked the most, especially that I’m not feeling well on that day.
The spa ambience is perfect for girls who wants to relax, or just wants to have some bonding time with fellow customers. It’s also great for baby girls who wants to be pampered like a Queen (see pic ^ ) I had migraine at that time but the feel of the comfy sofa and the soothing spa makes it easy for me to ease the pain.
The spa also prides itself to the cocktail mixes. They offered a vast variety of cocktail drinks for their customers. I had my own version of iced tea, but I told them to minimize the alcohol content for I’m still taking meds for my stomach complications.
Overall, it was a great experience! I love the spa’s ambience, the friendly staff and my now-revived hands and feet! Definitely worth the trip! Go visit them soon!
